Badajoz Alcazaba: The Alcazaba of Badajoz is located in the Cerro de la Muela surrounding the old Badajoz of the Muslim era. To the north is bordered by the Guadiana River, and east by the Arroyo Rivillas, which converges under the northeast corner. On both fronts there are steep slopes on the ground that increase the defensive nature of the Alcazaba, which is reinforced by the natural moat representing the rivers. The Alcazaba was built in a strategic place to control the natural way north-south and east-west.

El Puente de Palmas is the oldest bridge in the city of Badajoz (Spain), which crosses the Guadiana River. It was built in 1460. His style is Herrerian. It has 30 arches and measures 585 meters, though its dimensions have varied over the centuries as the reconstruction succeeded.
