Transports in Barcelona, Trains, buses, how to get there

The main gateway to Barcelona is El Prat Airport, located 10 lilometers south-west of the city, and the second busiest in Spain. At the airport of El Prat operate major airlines, with direct flights to all major cities of Europe, and numerous connections to cities on five continents. At the airport, there are places for so-called "air bridge" that connects Barcelona and Madrid with flights every 20 minutes during rush hours. Other airports used to get to Barcelona, especially the cheap airlines (low cost) are the Girona Airport and Reus, just over an hour from Barcelona.

Ports of Barcelona: Another important way of communication is its port, freight and passengers through the port of Barcelona, one of the most important in Spain and Mediterranean Cruise important stop. The city also has three marinas, the Old Port, the Olympic Port and the Port de Sant Adrià for smaller boats.

 

Estación Sants de Barcelona(Sants Railway Stn): Barcelona-Sants is the main railway station in Barcelona and Catalonia. It is also the first station of Spain in international routes and second in domestic routes. The station is in the district of Sants-Montjuïc, entering from the Plaza of the Catalan Countries (south) or Joan Peiró Square (north). On the station there is the hotel chain Barcelo and next to Plaza Joan Peiró there is some bus stop. There is a metro station underneath.

Train Montjuic(Paral lel - Parc de Montjüic): The Train of Montjuic in Barcelona, connects the city with the mountain of Montjuic, and sports facilities located there. It opened on 24 October 1928 on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona. Funicular of Tibidabo (Plaza del Doctor Andreu, Tibidabo): This is the first transport of these features worked in Spain with a total cost of 697,000 pesetas. The pipeline has a length of 1152 m and the lower station is connected to the Blue Tram.
