Santa María la Mayor Cathedral: It´s construction started in 1221

following the French Gothic patrons and completed in 1260, although the construction continued until 1765 with important modifications in the XV and XVI century.
In 1984 was declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. It is in central Burgos.
Arco de Santa Maria: One of the most important monuments of Burgos, this is one of the ancient twelve gates that accessed the city in the Middle Ages. Links the Santa Maria bridge on the River Arlanzón, with the Plaza de San Fernando(San Fernando Sq), where the cathedral stands.
Burgos Castle: Burgos castle is 75 m high above the city. Built in 884 by Count Diego Porcelos at the time of the spanish Reconquista.
Palacio de la Isla(Isla Palace): Located on Paseo de la Isla is considered a botanical garden was the residence of the Head of State during the civil war from 1936 to 1939. It has had many roles until it became the official headquarters of the Language Institute of Castilla y Leon

Ebro Canyon, Burgos: This is one of the most popular routes in the province of Burgos in Castilla León, and one of its most beautiful natural areas. A spectacular canyon with a great ecological value where we can make routes on foot or by bike which will surprise us.
From the spanish village of Valdelateja we can start the route of the Ebro´s Grand Canyon. A total of 15 kms and a six hour walk, through well-marked trails where you can discover the unique landscape of this region of Spain which is enriched by the heritage of two important and picturesque villages: Pesquera de Ebro and Cortiguera.
Covarrubias: Covarrubias is a village in the Shire of Arlanza, is one of the best examples and heritage jewel of popular architecture of Castile. The entire town is a museum of popular architecture, such as the Plaza de Doña Urraca and Plaza de Doña Sancha. Covarrubias is 43km drive south of Burgos.

Aranda de Duero: Aranda it´s in the south of the province of Burgos, in
Castilla León. Historicaly Aranda it´s known for the treaty of Aranda in 1473, and the Aranda Plan in 1503, the oldest urban map of Spain, and the oldest cartographical document. You can see the heritage all along the town of Aranda del Duero, the Berdugo Palace, Saint Nicolás de Bari´s Church, and the 7km of underground cellars built between the 12th and 18th century, and the Tenerías Roman Bridge. Aranda de Duero it´s 79km from Burgos.

Briviesca: Briviesca It´s north of the Province of Burgos,

Brivesca it´s a small town that can give you an insight of the rural areas of Castille and Burgos. It´s people are friendly, and there is some restaurant where we can try the local cuisine.
Burgos University: The University of Burgos was founded in 1994 as a division of the Valladolid University from a campus that was in the city of Burgos. Headquartered in the Hospital del Rey, located along the Camino de Santiago passing through Burgos, and was founded by Alfonso VIII in 1195. Burgos University has two campuses, San Amaro/Hospital del Rey to the west of the city of Burgos, and Rio Vena / Vigon, north of the city in the exit towards Cantabria.
