Cáceres borders Salamanca, Avila, Toledo, Badajoz and Portugal. It has 415,000 inhabitants and its capital is the city of Caceres, declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1986. The old city of Caceres begins east of the Plaza de San Juan, and is one of the best parts of town to stay and explore. Palaces, mansions, churches, convents wich will take us back in time, where the storks are the protagonists of the landscape. Along the main square we will find cafes, terraces and a tourist office. Along Calle General Ezponda Street we will find places for tapas, restaurants and drinks, that will keep us on the go until the late hours.

 

 

Cobbled streets, fortified medieval houses and Renaissance palaces make up the most beautiful sights of this city, declared Patrimony of Humanity by the Unesco.

The options offered by the historic quarter of Cáceres are countless, we need to walk through the Jewish Quarter and cover, in addition, one of the best preserved Arab reservoirs in the world.

Monfragüe Natural Park: Consisting of 85 square kilometers or 17,852 hectares contains the following towns: Torrejón el Rubio, Serradilla, Malpartida de Plasencia, Toril, Serrejón, Miravete Jaraicejo and Houses. The park contains one of the largest forests in Spain with over 1,400 different species of trees. A favorite of birdwatchers, the park has the world's largest colony of black vultures and imperial eagles, and numerous species of birds.
