Architecture in Fuerteventura
The climate in Fuerteventura determines its architecture. In Fuerteventura architecture emphasizes the traditional house and large state homes, which is clearly influenced by colonial Portuguese, Andalusian and Castilian which belonged to the former nobility, ecclesiastical and administrative in the past of Fuerteventura. Painting
The two great artists of Fuerteventura are the painters Juan Ismael, born in La Oliva, surrealist painter integrated in cultural group "Gaceta de Arte", and Jorge Oramas, born in Gran Tarajal. Died of tuberculosis at age 24, his work, framed within the indigenous communities, it´s known by its brightness and color.
Fiestas & Traditions in Fuerteventura

Manuel Velázquez Cabrera: Born in Tiscamanita in 1863, was a promoter and architect of the creation of the Canarian Island Councils.
