Pájara is located south of Fuerteventura and is the largest municipality. Its beaches are often very large and many of them still virgin and isolated.
Playa la Solapa Beach: Playa La Solapa is located in the Northwest Township in Pájara, south of the island of Fuerteventura. Playa La Solapa is a virgin beach of fine black sand near a spectacular gorge. La Solapa Beach measures just over 400 meters long and has both waves and winds usually quite strong.
Playa Garcey Beach: To the west of the island, is arguably one of the most spectacular beaches of Fuerteventura,Canary Islands, located in a virgin environment, one of his top attractions are the remains of wrecked American Star, a luxury liner that sank in the vicinity at the end of 1993 while being towed to a port in Thailand.
Playa Ajuy o Playa de los Muertos (nudista):
This beautiful naturist(nude) beach is located 2km northwest of Pájara, we can we turn to the FV-60B of Pájara towards La Pared(the wall), take the turning signposted going to Puerto de la Peña and Ajuy, after 10 km and pass Ajuy we have arrived to Playa Ajuy. One of the attractions are the caves there is that are worth visiting.
Playa El Cofete: El Cofete has a spectacular scenery and is located away from towns and people, therefore we can practice naturism without anyone bothering us, to get here we drive to Puerto de Morro Jable, take a turn towards Punta de Jandia by a dirt road which has another turn, in which we will take the right turn until we find the beach.
Pájara Playa Barlovento Beach: This great beach, desertic and of about 6km long, we can go by bus or car towards El Cofete, and follow the signs.
American Star: The American Star was a luxury liner built in 1939 by the American company, United States Lines. It was the largest passenger ship of the United States of his time. He had many names since its construction to its sinking in 1994 in the coast of Fuerteventura after being sold and towed to Thailand. We can still see it today in the coast of Pájara in Garcey beach in Fuerteventura.
