Beaches of Alajeró
The climate of La Gomera is very similar to the rest of the Canary Islands, a mixture of subtropical climate with variable winds. La Gomera climate vary greatly in their climate and landscapes from one part to another of the island, its mountains and its orientation makes the climate change. There are numerous local climates, especially in areas of ravines.
Playa Santiago-Santiago Beach: One of the largest beaches of La Gomera and privileged place to live, their population was a former fishermen settlement. At this beach we will find many interesting caves and a beautifull seabed. It is easily accessible from the town centre, and its sands are dark and volcanic. There are many bars, restaurants and terraces where you can enjoy a good fish restaursant or just take something to alleviate the heat. In addition, Garajonay Express over the port of Playa de Santiago has become vital liaison point between Valle Gran Rey, San Sebastian and Los Cristianos.
Playa de la Negra: This beautiful beach is somewhat isolated in an remote part of the island where we enjoy a great calm. Access can be done on foot from La Rajita or by car.
