Castilla La Mancha
This province of Castilla La Mancha is flat dry and has about 522,000 inhabitants. It´s close to Sierra Morena mountain range, and limits north by the Montes de Toledo. It covers four towns: Ciudad Real, Las Casas, Valverde and La Poblachuela. It is located about 200 km south of Madrid. The town of Ciudad Real is located in the natural region of Campo de Calatrava, a territory that has the peculiarity of the terrain and volcanic phenomena. Other natural phenomena in Ciudad Real are the "bitter waters", hot springs and thermal baths. Ciudad Real is a city of history too, with a vast heritage that is evident in every corner of the city. This province and its capital offers visitors a broad historical and monumental heritage, with numerous civil and religious architecture, museums and alleys where to easily get lost.
Don Quijote Museum(Ronda de Alarcos nº1): Permanent Exhibition of drawings and paintings.
Provincial Museum of Ciudad Real(c/Prado 4): This museum has an important archaeological collection.
Hermitage of Alarcos: This shrine is dedicated to the Virgin of Alarcos. This is within the archaeological park of Alarcos, which has archaeological remains, both medieval and Iberian. The Hermitage is of XIII century gothic style.
Casa del Arco: It was the first City Council of Ciudad Real, a building of the fifteenth century but the facade is the eighteenth century, it was expropriated by the Catholic Kings to Alvar Diaz to become City Council of Ciudad Real, which it was until 1866. It is the oldest governmental building in Ciudad Real and one of the oldest in the province.
Puerta de Toledo: National Monument since 1915, a magnificent example of military architecture of the fourteenth century, built by King Alfonso X of Castile and Leon.
In Ciudad Real we can find the Prado Gardens which are at the foot of the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora del Prado or Gasset Park where we can enjoy large walks listening to the sound of water flowing from sources scattered around the park. Pillar Park, near the city railway station is in a recovery phase due to years of neglection. There have ave been recently opened two new parks, the Parque de Atocha, which is a green area located near the University and the John Paul II Park, in the former grounds Renfe(Railway Co).
Nacional Park Tablas de Daimiel: Las Tablas de Daimiel are the best example in Spain of rivers ecosystem. Its ecological value lies in the bird fauna, which uses these areas as winter nesting area. This is a park that was formed following the flooding of the rivers Guadiana and Cigüela and as such is reflected in its landscape.

Nacional Park of Cabañeros: A landscape of pastures, hills, a nice characteristic beauty of La Mancha, is located 5 kms of Bullaque Pueblonuevo Guided tours.

Ruidera Lagoons: The Natural Park of the Lagunas de Ruidera is a protected natural area located in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha in Ciudad Real. The park consists of a set of fifteen lagoons located longitudinally along the valley of the Guadiana river and Old Pinilla, separated and connected by tuffaceous barriers that form waterfalls or streams that connect each upper pond to the tier below, for gaps which are not, strictly speaking, but "backwaters" river. Also part of the natural park of Peñarroya reservoir.
