This province is delimited by the provinces of Valencia, Albacete, Ciudad Real, Toledo, Madrid, Guadalajara, and Teruel. in its capital, Cuenca is home to nearly a quarter of the population of the province, one of the best preserved medieval towns of Spain and declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its main towns are Beteta Uclés, Belmonte and Alarcón. The city of Cuenca and its surrounding district enjoys a Mediterranean climate, often with extreme temperatures, very hot summers and cold winters. One of the best times to visit is during the Religious Music Week, celebration of International Tourist Interest. Arts, history, adventure sports, spas and hunting are just some of the possibilities offered by the city of Cuenca and important province of Castilla-La Mancha.

Cuenca has some excellent scenery and resources, on the plains we can see beautiful olive crops and springs in the northern part of the province. Among its most prominent and important towns we can visit Villanueva de la Jara, this traditional village has many monuments as the Convent of the Carmelites and the "Roll of Justice", which formerly was used as an execution place to those who violated the old former laws in Spain. Without a doubt, one of the best views in the province of Cuenca is La Ventana del Diablo(Devil´s Window), located in the canyon of the river Jucar.

Cuenca
is known as La Jara. It has a great tourist attraction because of the large number of ancient monuments and the cultivation of mushrooms, which is one of the main economic activity in town.

Hanging Houses of Cuenca: The Hanging Houses, also known as the "blown up houses" , or Casas del Rey, is a set of civil buildings located in Cuenca. In the past it was a common architectural element on the eastern edge of the ancient city, located opposite the mouth of the River Huécar, although nowadays only remain a small part of them. Overall, the best known are a set of three of these structures with wooden balconies. Of uncertain origin, is aware of its existence and in the fifteenth century. They have been used as residences for private use and for the Town Hall, but now houses a restaurant and the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art in Cuenca.

Rio Cuervo(Cuervo River): This charming place is the origin of the river
Tajo, near the town of Vega del Codorno, particularly in the western foothills of the Muela de San Felipe, about 1490 meters above sea level, within the municipal district of the city of Cuenca. Guadiela empties into a tributary of the Tajo river, near the village of Bridge of Vadillos, after touring the mountainous part of Cuenca and go through the well-known spa and mineral water bottling plant in Solan de Cabras. The Raven belongs therefore to the Tajo basin. In its course there is a single reservoir called La Tosca, in the town of Santa Maria del Val, just 3 hectometres capacity.
La Ciudad Encantada de Cuenca(The Haunted town of Cuenca):The city is a natural place of lime or limestone rock formations formed over thousands of years.
Located in Valdecabras. It was declared a Natural Site of National Interest June 11, 1929. The action of rains and water over the years, wind and ice has made this phenomenon is a form arising from the disintegration and breakdown of a rock on the surface by environmental agents, pollutants, and biological. In the whimsical and spectacular formations exist in this place. There is a marked route, about 3 miles long, to visit the various rocks and formations that have been given the names of animals and objects such as high tormo (symbol of the Enchanted City), lovers of Teruel, the Roman bridge, among many others.
Alarcón: Alarcón it´s 87km south of Cuenca. Along the municipality comes the Jucar river. Alarcon was declared National Heritage, here we can visit the Trinidad Church and santa María. the town of Alarcón it´s down a river and a dam,the hendideros dam
Cañamares: It´s in the Serranía Media locality,
and has a population of 50 inhabitants. Along Cañamares comes the Escabas river. Cañamares it´s mainly a rural town where we can enjoy tranquility and countryside. The most important celebrations in Cañamares are in Augoust, San Isidro, san Milán, and the famous Easter.
Cañamares it´s 56km from the capital Cuenca, and about 6km from Priego and La Frontera. About 8km we can visit the localities of Villaconejos de Trabaque and Fuertescusa.
Belmonte: Belmonte is located at kilometer 342 of the road from Cuenca to Alcazar de San Juan, which is the same as that of Cordoba to Tarragona. The excavations at the Collegiate in 1976 for the collapse of part of the apse, put the discovered the ruins of an earlier Visigothic church, perhaps from the V century, proving that the population is older than imagined.

Its monuments include the Castle of Cuenca S XVI, of which only remains of what was a great Christian fortress. In the main square we can also find the Cathedral, the Gothic style.
Cuenca is the fifth largest province in the country.
Roads: Cuenca is located 160 kilometers from Madrid to reach it we must take the A-3/E-901 towards Valencia, when the town of Tarancón, take direction A-40/CU-11 to Cuenca. From Valencia is located 198 kilometers by A-3/E-901 to Madrid, and on reaching the town of Minglanilla we can take the N-320 direction Almodovar del Pinar-Cuenca. From Teruel is 145 km via the N-420 towards Cuenca. From Albacete is located 159 km on the N-301 until the genet and thence on the N-320 to Cuenca. From Guadalajara is located 135 km on the N-320 towards Cuenca.
