The village it´s divided in two picturesque parts,
Montouto de Abaixo and Montouto de Arriba(upper Montouto). The climate in Montouto, like many galician municipalities has long and rainy winters, and warm summers. We can get to Montouto from Fonsagrada going towards El Cádavo and Lugo, about 9km from the locality.
Palas de Rey(Lugo): The municipality of Palas belongs to the Ulloa region. Palas del Rey has an important historical heritage that tells the stories of the galician lands many years ago. It still preserves fortresses, towers, castles. The most important landmarks in Palas de Rey are the Tower Home of Filgueira, Fontecuberta, and the Laia Home. Palas de Rei was inspiration for many for many spanish writers such as
López Ferreiro, Álvaro Cunqueiro or Emilia Pardo Bazán.
Pantón: Belongs to the Lugo locality of Terra de Lemos, in the beautifull country side of the galician Ribeira Sacra. Panton it´s south of the province of Lugo, 80km south.

Ribadeo(Lugo): The country town of Ribadeo in Lugo it´s at a privileged location in Galicia, and a very visited place in the province. Galician beaches, nature, and exquisite gastronomy are the main joys of Ribadeo.
Viveiro: Viveiro has an important natural and cultural heritage, which makes it one of the most visited places in Galicia. The natural landmarks are the Souto da Retorta, the San Roque Gazer, the Area Island, right in the Vivero Ria, or estuary, with the significative Covas Beach, all of this with an astounding beauty.
