Béjar: It´s 72km from Salamanca. As many towns in the Castillian province it has an important historical heritage, renown museums, and civil heritage. The most important landmark it´s the medieval Walls of Bejar, the Woods Garden, the Calle Mayor, San José and Pilar church, one of the oldest in Bejar, the jewish Museum "David Melul", the City Hall from the 16th century, and the Zuñiga Palace.
There is also an astounding countryside in Bejar and a ski station, La Covatilla, in the Sierra de Béjar, declared Biosphere reserve by the UNESCO.
Ciudad Rodrigo: It´s 25km from Portugal and 86 from Salamanca. From it´s heritage we can visit the Roman Walls, City Hall, the Castro Palace, Aguila Palace and a few more landmarks along the streets. Ciudad Rodrigo it´s also a lively town, with many bars and restaurants buzzing day and night, and a lot of students from the Salamanca University who choose to spend their weekend in Ciudad Rodrigo
La Alberca: This is a beautifull provincial town of Salamanca, where old traditions and customs still remain. there is also an important religious tradition, with many churches and hermitages along the village. The nature in Alberca it´s equally fascinating, where we can visit some of the old cave paintings and many hiking routes in the Batuecas Vally, between Salamanca, Alberca, and Cáceres.
Mozárbez: It´s about 12km from Salamanca, at a large plain of oaks and cornfields. We can see the moor origins of the municipality on every corner in town
Santa Marta de Tormes: The country town of Santa Marta de Tormes it´s about 3km from the capital, Salamanca.
