The province of Tarragona is located on the shores of the Mediterranean on the Costa Daurada. Vacation possibilities along both the province and its capital, are extensive. Natural parks, rural tourism, and many beautiful beaches along the famous resorts of Salou and Cambrils. Tarragona is named after the Roman Tarraco, the capital of the province of Hispania during the Roman Empire "Tarraconensis". Among the extensive recreational possibilities include marinas, water parks, and important casinos. This region also has important festivals, both nationally and internationally.
Central Market: This is a 1915 Art Nouveau building designed by the architect Josep Maria Pujol.
Tarragona Port: One of the most important ports in Spain.
Tarragona´s Old Town: The Tarragona's old town is at the top of the city of Tarragona, surrounded by a Roman Wall it was declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Also known "Part Alta" is much frequented by a great offer of leisure, gastronomic and cultural walks. 1km of the wall still remains.
The Amphitheater: Still remains a Romanesque church and the Visigoths. It was built in the first century AD

"Tarraco" Roman Circus: We will find the Roman Circus in the old city, they are the remains of what was a genuine Roman arena.
Santa María de Tarragona Cathedral: This cathedral was built in early Gothic style and is also found in the highest point of the city. It was declared a National Monument in 1905.
Metropol Theatre: This building is a modernist work of Josep. M. Pujol. It houses important plays and concerts. We'll find it at Rambla Nova 46, of Tarragona.
Fire Works Int´l Festival: Held annually the first week of July in Tarragona San Magi Festival August 16-19 Santa Tecla Festival 15-24 September.

Día de Sant Jordi(23rd April): This celebration par excellence of Catalonia, is a day of sardanas, roses, human towers and exciting events in the bullring. (Xiquets de Valls, 200 years of human towers).

International Theatre Festival Tortosa-EntreCultures: Born in 2004 in the city of Tortosa this festival is to provide a multicultural gathering of cultures and theatre plays, Muslim, Christian and Jewish.

Salou: 10km from Tarragona we will find Salou right on the Costa Dorada. Salou is one of the main tourist destinations in Tarragona. In Walk of Les Palmeres we can find fun and entertainment both day and night, with concentrations of restaurants, pubs and nightlife in salou.

Salou has four major calas(small Beaches)and beaches:
Playa de Levante(Llevant): This is the main beach in Salou, has 1200mts of beach and a great walk
Playa de Poniente(Ponent): Near Cambrils.
Playa Larga(Llarga): This beach is surrounded by woods and has access to through stairs, during the summer months Playa Larga is mostly occupied by British holidaymakers.
Cala de Lenguadetes(Llenguadets): This small beach is located between Cala dels Chaplains and Playa Larga.

Salou is 10km from Tarragona and 110km south east of Barcelona. Renting a car is the best option to travel to Salou, or we can get there by bus or train.
Cambils: In a privileged corner of the Mediterranean Cambrils enjoys a generally mild climate with average summer temperatures of 25 º and in the winter of 12 º. Located in the heart of the Costa Dourada, in the region of Baix Camp. We arrive here by train or bus. Cambrils has 9km long and wide beaches where we can enjoy a pleasant climate.
