Located south of Aragón, is one of the least populated regions in Spain, with half of their villages with fewer than 200 inhabitants, its economy it´s based on tourism and growing crops. It has one of the harshest climates in Europe for its dryness and huge temperature differences during the day. The natural heritage of Teruel is characterized by a wide diversity of landscapes, hardly changed by the small population and thus retaining much of its original splendor and beauty. In every corner of this province we find nature, recreation and exquisite cuisine. Astonishing Mudejar art, Castles and Fortifications in privileged locations, Gothic architecture and the Mastership of monumental expressions.

Bajo Martín: This district is named after the Martin river, borders on the north by the Ribera Baja del Ebro, and on the west with the Belchite Field and it´s mining areas, to the south with Andorra-Sierra de Arcos and east by the Lower Aragon and Bajo Aragón-Caspe. This region is part of the Historic Lower Aragon. Its capital is Hijar.
Jiloca: In this county reflected the flower of saffron, one of the most valuable species in the zone and collected by the locals. Its capital is Calamocha. The region of Jiloca is located northwest of the province of Teruel, 70 km from the capital and 110 km from Zaragoza. Oaks are abundant in the mountains, orchards and crop cultivation in the plains. The Shire of Jiloca has an excellent heritage, such as the Calamocha Bridges and the three Mudejar towers, World Heritage since 2001.
Cuencas Mineras: 99 km from Teruel it was traditionally a mining region, around Aguasvivas there is towns such as Huesa del Común with old castles and old cave paintings. It´s capital is Montalbán and Utrillas.
Andorra-Sierra de Arcos: First inhabitated by the Iberians, Romans and Carthaginians and later Arabs, have left visible traces in the villages of the region. The Cave Foradada reservoir, the river Martin, with its cave paintings are fine examples of Levantine art. The spectacular San Pedro heights, or the lush pine forests of the Sierra de Teruel are examples of natural beauty. Its capital is Andorra. We can get here by bus from Zaragoza.
Sierra de Albarracín-Albarracín Mountain Range:
The mountain range of Albarracín is a protected area in a mountainous region of Teruel. Area of great beauty, we can see the rivers of Guadalaviar, Tajo, Jucar, Gabriel y Jiloca flow. Among it´s heritage the town of Albarracín was declared national monument since 1961. Charmy village with a cathedral, castle and 14th century walls. The town is surrounded by Albarracín mountain range and forests. We can get to Albarracín from Teruel by bus(36km)
Bajo Aragón: Among the architectural heritage it´s the town of Alcañiz. The town has a medieval castle originally from XII century, a renaissance town hall and a Baroque church. It´s location has made this region a passageway, communication between the Ebro valley and the Mediterranean coast. It´s capital is Alcañiz.
Comunidad de Teruel-Teruel Community: The main region´s industry it´s concentrated in the capital, Teruel. Among its tourist attractions are its Moorish buildings, the mausoleum of the "Lovers of Teruel", the paleontological center Dinópolis and a rich natural, historic and artistic heritage.
Maestrazgo: Among the natural areas the region has a great landscape, rivers such as Pitarque, Guadalope Cannons and the Crystal Caves in Molinos.
Gúdar-Javalambre: South of the province near Castellón in Valencia, It´s capital is Mora de Rubielos.
The current county-Javalambre Gúdar preserves remains of his distant past as seen in the paleontological site of the Noguera Rocha in the town of Puebla de Valverde, the Ambirina Region -Rubielos de Mora.
Matarraña: It belongs to the so-called Franja, and all municipalities are bilingual with Catalan and Castilian spoken. Olive and almond trees surround the rich monumental villages and picturesque beauty. It´s most beautiful town is La Fresneda, with porches and streets packed with Renaissance and Baroque buildings. Its capital is Valderrobles.
Albarracín: Albarracín is a small locality and municipality in the Southeast of Teruel. The whole town has been declared National Heritage Site since 1961 and has been proposed for World Heritage Site by the UNESCO for it´s unique beauty and historical heritage. Albarracin´s Old Town is located at the foothills of a mountain, surrounded by the Guadalviar river. At the northside of the town we´ll find the Albarracin´s Mountain Range, and to the south the "Universal Mountains". Downtown Albarracin we´ll find narrow streets, historical sites such as old churches, castles where once the arabs, celts once lived..

Alcalá de la Selva: This is the closest locality to the Alcalá de la Selva ski resorts.
Luis Buñuel: Filmmaker born in Calanda. Among his best works are "Obscure Object of Desire" and "The Phantom of Liberty".
